Comets announce 2026-27 regular-season schedule
KANSAS CITY, Mo — The Kansas City Comets are excited to announce the full 24-game regular-season schedule for the 2026-27 campaign in the Major Arena Soccer League.
The Comets, returning with the league’s highest attendance for each of the previous four seasons, will welcome a variety of opponents to Kansas City for 12 home games in addition to 12 away games.
“It’s always an exciting time to release our schedule, as it means we’re getting close to kicking off our season,” said Brian Roth, Comets Vice President of Sales. “For our fans, they’ll get to see seven of our eight opponents coming into Cable Dahmer Arena, including the expansion Lehigh Valley Spirits, who should have a solid team in their inaugural season.”
The 2026-27 campaign will give Comets fans a full slate of rivalry matchups at Cable Dahmer Arena, including two of the league’s biggest rivalries against the St. Louis Ambush and Milwaukee Wave, while also bringing the league’s newest franchise to Kansas City in March. The Comets return with renewed energy, but the league’s busiest start to the season will quickly test it.
“I really like our dates this year, especially the way our opponents are spread out from start to finish,” Roth said. “Plus, we get to host our two main rivals, St. Louis and Milwaukee, three times each, which we’ve had some really intense battles with both of those teams over the years.”
After opening with a challenging road-heavy schedule, the Comets will be home for 10 of the final 16 games. The schedule also features 10 weeks of back-to-back sets, half of which include no rest days.
The season begins with an immediate back-to-back test over Thanksgiving weekend against two longtime rivals. The Comets travel to St. Louis for a Black Friday season-opening matchup on Nov. 27 before hosting Milwaukee on Saturday, Nov. 28.
The Comets’ home opener on Nov. 28 at Cable Dahmer Arena begins a five-game slate of rivalry matchups against Milwaukee throughout the season, including three at home. Kansas City will face St. Louis six times during the regular season, renewing an I-70 Series rivalry that presents the Comets with a chance for revenge after falling 2-1 to STL in last season’s MASL Quarterfinal Series.
After a Dec. 13 road game at Tacoma, the Comets embark on another consecutive-day road swing, traveling to the East Coast to face expansion franchise Lehigh Valley on Dec. 19 before Baltimore on Dec. 20. The first meeting with Lehigh Valley comes at PPL Center in Pennsylvania, giving the Comets an early-season matchup with the newest MASL member franchise, later hosting Lehigh Valley at Cable Dahmer Arena later in the season on Sunday, March 7.
The calendar shifts back toward the I-70 Series to conclude 2026. Kansas City hosts St. Louis on Wednesday, Dec. 30, before traveling to The Family Arena for a New Year’s Eve matchup on Dec. 31.
January features a mix of home and road challenges, beginning with a visit to Milwaukee on Jan. 15 before returning home to face Tacoma on Sunday, Jan. 17. The following weekend brings another back-to-back, with Kansas City hosting Empire on Saturday, Jan. 23, before traveling to Southern California for the rematch Sunday night.
February brings the Comets’ busiest month of the season, opening with three consecutive home games that bring Utica City (Feb. 5), Milwaukee (Feb. 12) and Baltimore (Feb. 19) to Silverstein Eye Centers Field on consecutive Fridays. The Comets conclude the month with a pair of back-to-backs, visiting Tacoma on Feb. 21 after hosting Baltimore, then facing Milwaukee in a home-and-home slate on Feb. 27 at home and Feb. 28 away.
March features another significant stretch, welcoming Lehigh Valley to Cable Dahmer Arena for the first time on Sunday, March 7, before St. Louis returns on Saturday, March 13. The Comets complete the back-to-back with a trip to St. Louis on March 14, then have another quick turnaround the following weekend with a visit to Utica City on March 19 before hosting Tacoma on Sunday, March 21.
The regular season concludes with a final home date against St. Louis on Friday, April 2, followed by a road finale against San Diego on Sunday, April 4.
The Comets plan to announce details for their Theme/Promo Schedule in the coming weeks, which will include the popular Retro/Alumni Night, Star Wars Night, Mascot Mania Night, Military Night and more.
All Friday home games will begin at 7:05 p.m. CT, while Saturday home games will begin at 6:05 p.m. CT and Sunday home games will begin at 4:05 p.m. CT. Fans can purchase season tickets at kccomets.com/seasontickets2627. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
