COMETS BOLSTER ROSTER AHEAD OF PLAYOFFS

KANSAS CITY, MO. – As the Comets prepare for the 2022 Ron Newman Cup playoffs, the Comets have announced a player signing to help Kansas City maintain a healthy roster following a series of injuries.

The newly-signed player is Milos Vucic, a defender from Nikinci, Montenegro with his most recent experience playing with FK Sutjeska of the Prva Crnogorska Liga. Prior to rejoining FK Sutjeska for the 2021-22 season, Vucic appeared in four games for Hradec Kralove, and in 30 games for Buducnost prior to that.

He is expected to make an impact right away for the Comets. “Milos is a very talented defender who likes to get forward.  He's a very smart player that has adjusted to the indoor game fairly quickly due to his futsal background. We expect Milos to contribute right away,” Budzinski said.

Vucic welcomes that chance. “I am very happy for the opportunity to join a soccer team like the Comets. Coach Stefan (Stokic) invited me to come and try(out), and I have to say that I was very impressed with the way I was received by the players and management. I have a good feeling that the Comets will be champions this season,” he said.

Comets fans will have the opportunity to welcome Vucic to the roster this Saturday, March 26 when the St. Louis Ambush come to Cable Dahmer Arena. Kick-off is 6:00 pm and Kansas City will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the KC Comets and fans can meet some of the Comets Legends from over the years during the post-game autograph session on the field immediately following the game.
