COMETS DEFENDER JAMES TOGBAH NAMED TO TEAM OF THE WEEK

Forward Kiel Williams also named Honorable Mention

KANSAS CITY (Jan. 23, 2019) – Kansas City Comets defender James Togbah was named to the Week Eight Team of the Week by the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) earlier today. This is Togbah’s first time receiving this honor. He is the third Comets player this season to be named, joining Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Flores (Week Three) and Leo Gibson (Weeks Three and Five). Comets forward Kiel Williams was named Honorable Mention in this week's awards.

Togbah has shown no signs of a sophomore slump in his second season with the Comets. Although his side wasn’t able to find a win on Friday against the Ambush, Togbah did his part contributing two assists. Then on Sunday against Utica City FC, Togbah took care of business. He scored three goals and an assist to lead his team to a win.

The Comets will now look to start a new winning streak when they host the league’s newest team, the Mississauga MetroStars, this Sunday at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. CT and tickets are available online at KCComets.com.
