by Scott Levinson

KANSAS CITY (November 26, 2021) – The Kansas City Comets announced today that CommunityAmerica Credit Union will be the team’s title and jersey sponsor for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, serving as the exclusive banking and mortgage partner for the Kansas City Comets. CommunityAmerica Credit Union takes over the team’s main sponsorship from Domino’s, after local Domino’s franchise owners, Jamie and Melissa Poulsen, joined the Comets ownership group last spring. Domino’s had been the team’s title sponsor for the previous six seasons.

“We love the high-energy, family-friendly game experience the Comets bring to our region, said CommunityAmerica Credit Union Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Whitney Bartelli. “It’s always a great fit when we find strong partners who share our commitment to the KC fan base and helping our community continue to thrive.”

The CommunityAmerica Credit Union logo will be prominently displayed across the chest of all Comets jerseys for the next two seasons. Besides the home and away Capelli Sport kits, the CommunityAmerica logo will also appear on the team’s specialty match jerseys for their annual Pink Game, benefitting The Ali Kemp Educational Foundation, the team’s Military Appreciation Game, benefitting Team Fidelis, as well as the team’s retro jerseys celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Comets’ arrival in Kansas City. The CommunityAmerica Credit Union logo will also appear on all Comets replica jerseys sold at the arena, on the team’s online store and through other outside vendors.

The partnership also includes the title sponsorship of the Major Arena Soccer League’s showcase match at T-Mobile Center on January 22nd featuring the Comets against the Tacoma Stars, as well as a host of other Comets promotional opportunities at Cable Dahmer Arena, plus numerous media and social media engagements.

“CommunityAmerica is everything we look for in a title sponsor,” said Comets Vice President of Business Operations, Scott Levinson. “They are a Kansas City-based company that is heavily involved and invested in our community. We are thrilled to have such an outstanding brand associated with the Comets.”

The Comets will be unveiling their 2021-22 kits with their new title sponsor on them this weekend when the team takes on the St. Louis Ambush in St. Charles, MO Friday night, then both teams will face off in Independence on Saturday night at 6pm at Cable Dahmer Arena.
