KANSAS CITY (July 19, 2019) - The Major Arena Soccer League has announced the lineup of teams competing for the 2019-2020 season.

The 2019-2020 season will see 17 teams compete for the chance to lift the Ron Newman Cup in April 2020. These teams will be split into two tables, an Eastern Conference and Western Conference. The Kansas City Comets, in their tenth season since returning to action in 2010, will compete in the Eastern Conference.

Joining Kansas City in the East will be long-time rivals, the St Louis Ambush, Baltimore Blast and Milwaukee Wave. The Western Conference will feature traditional teams like the Tacoma Stars and San Diego Sockers, while the expansion Mesquite Outlaws and Dallas Sidekicks will battle it out for Texas supremacy.

The playoff format was decided in the Spring Meetings, with each round being a home-and-home series with a 15-minute Mini-Game to decide the winner if necessary. The criteria for post-season qualification will be announced in the coming weeks.
