KANSAS CITY COMETS ANNOUNCE 2018 HOME OPENER
Comets to play 12-game home schedule at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena
KANSAS CITY (July 25, 2018) – In conjunction with the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), the Kansas City Comets announced the team’s home opening game this afternoon. The ninth edition of Hot Winter Nights at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena will kick off on Saturday, December 15th at 7:05 p.m. CT. The opponent for that game, along with the rest of the schedule, will be announced at a later date.
The MASL schedule is set to begin with games starting the weekend of December 1st. The Kansas City Comets will play a 24-game regular season schedule from December to March, with 12 games being played at home in the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
“I can’t wait until opening night,” said Managing Partner Colin Weaver. “We are working hard to provide an out-of-this-world experience for Comets fans and create the greatest home-field atmosphere in the MASL. With the team that (Head Coach) Kim (Roentved) is putting together, we will make every fan excited to come out and watch the Comets this season.”
