Kansas City Comets to travel to St Louis for exhibition match

KANSAS CITY (Oct. 16, 2018) – The Kansas City Comets, together with the St Louis Ambush, announced a special preseason exhibition match on November 24 at 6:00 p.m. CT. at the Dellwood Recreation Center in St Louis, MO. This match will be open to the public and tickets will be $5 at the door.

This will mark St Louis’ second exhibition match of the season, while it is currently scheduled to be Kansas City’s only preseason appearance.

Head Coaches Kim Roentved of the Comets and Hewerton Moreira of the Ambush will use this match to evaluate talent and help to form their final 2018-2019 MASL rosters.

“We’ve already assembled a good team here, and there are a few other new faces we are looking at,” said Roentved. “An event like this gives us all a chance to get our feet back under us and see how certain players look in certain situations.”

For Kansas City fans, it will be their first chance to see new goalkeeper Brett Petricek in Comets colors, and their chance to welcome back fan favorites Ramone Palmer, Robert Palmer, Alain Matingou and John Sosa.

Comets fans who travel to the match will also get their first chance to see the new selection of Comets merchandise for the 2018-2019 season. The team will have a booth onsite with select items available for sale.
